Fouling Cleaning Ultrasound Technology

100% chemical free solution – No need to use toxic chemicals to clean or prevent fouling

A system that uses ultrasound to stop industrial fouling.

Altum’s solution is meant to clean and/or prevent fouling in industrial production equipment like pipelines, heat exchangers, evaporators, valves, and more, without having to stop production or use toxic chemicals. This is done with Altum’s high-power ultrasound solution that is guided by software. The plug and play system is clamped on from the outside, so the target equipment doesn’t need to be changed for the solution to work. It is well known that dirty industrial equipment is a big cause of greenhouse gas emissions because it takes more energy to keep up with production needs when the equipment is dirty. This means that industrial companies like LafargeHolcim can reduce their CO2 and NO2 emissions and have a better handle on them. They can also keep production going nonstop and improve the quality of their products thanks to clean production infrastructure.

Positive facts about Fouling Cleaning Ultrasound Technology

Can improve energy efficiency by more than 50%
Depending on the case, the number of mechanical and/or chemical cleanings has been reduced between 70% to 100%
Altums high-power ultrasound is 1000 times more powerful than other externally applied ultrasound device for industrial use”

About the curator

Arnaud Michel is the founder and curator of Keys for Tomorrow. In 2014, his master’s thesis on community currencies and sustainable development won the Prix Recherche at Belgium’s Prix de l’Économie Sociale; the research was later published as Ecological Economics (Elsevier, 2015). He curates this directory to the same standard, cross-checking every project against established certification bodies and directories — including B Corp, 1% for the Planet, and Solar Impulse Foundation — alongside direct research into each project’s own record.
