Who we are
Keys for Tomorrow (keysfortomorrow.com) is a global directory of sustainability projects mapped to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at contact@keysfortomorrow.com.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly
If you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message (your email address, name, and message content). We use this only to respond to you.
Comments
If our site allows comments on project pages or blog posts, the data entered in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, may be collected to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be checked against the Gravatar service to see if you are using it; the Gravatar service’s own privacy policy applies to that check. After a comment is approved, your profile photo (if any) is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Automatically collected information
Like most websites, our server logs may automatically record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you request. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding overall site traffic, not to identify you personally.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. This site currently uses only the cookies required for it to function correctly, for example cookies related to page caching (to load pages faster) and, if you ever leave a comment, an optional cookie to remember your name/email for next time. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
If that changes in the future, for example if we add analytics, advertising, or affiliate tracking, we will update this policy to describe exactly what is added, and where required by law, request your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
Third-party services
This site uses Google reCAPTCHA on certain forms to help prevent spam and abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Links to social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest) appear on this site. Clicking these links takes you to those third-party platforms, which have their own separate privacy policies that we do not control.
We do not currently run advertising, analytics, or affiliate tracking scripts on this site. If and when we do (for example, to support the site through advertising or affiliate partnerships), we will name the specific services here, describe what data they collect, and update this policy before they go live.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website
- To respond to messages sent to us
- To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security issues
- To understand aggregate site usage so we can improve content and navigation
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep contact-form emails and comment data for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, moderate content, or comply with legal obligations, after which they may be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@keysfortomorrow.com.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as the site adds new features, advertising, or partnerships. The “last updated” date below reflects the most recent revision.
