What is Back2Buzz All About?

Back2Buzz is on a mission to support the eco-system by improving its ecological footprint, mainly by extending the lifecycle of smartphones and their accessories. Founded in 2016 by Mr. Philippe Honhon, this company started as a distribution platform for electronic goods—mostly mobile accessories—sourced from the Far East and distributed to retailers in the BeLux region. But it didn’t stop there. Over time, Back2Buzz evolved into a one-stop-shop specializing in refurbished smartphones and eco-friendly accessories, currently active in Belgium and France (including Dom-Tom).

The Main Benefit: Eco-Friendly & Biodegradable Accessories

Back2Buzz offers a full range of mobile accessories, including cables, chargers, power banks, earphones, cases, and screen protectors. Here’s the cool part:

  • The blue range features standard accessories.
  • The green range is all about eco-friendly and biodegradable products.
  • Refurbishing smartphones reduces electronic waste and reuses dozens of minerals needed for manufacturing.
  • Each refurbished smartphone gets a new box, new accessories, and comes with a 2-year warranty.
  • Refurbished devices get an extended life cycle of 2 to 3 years before recycling.

How Refurbishment Helps the Planet

By refurbishing smartphones, Back2Buzz tackles electronic waste head-on. Instead of tossing out devices after a short lifespan, they give them a second chance. This process not only reduces the mountains of e-waste piling up but also saves precious minerals and resources that go into making new phones. Plus, it’s a win for consumers who get quality devices at a better price, with peace of mind thanks to the warranty.

The Eco-Friendly Product Line

Back2Buzz’s green range is where sustainability really shines. This line includes accessories that are either eco-friendly, biodegradable, or both. It’s a thoughtful approach to everyday tech gear—because let’s face it, cables and cases aren’t usually the first things you think of when going green. But these small changes add up, making a big difference in reducing plastic waste and environmental impact.

Back2Buzz’s Journey and Growth

Starting as a simple distribution platform in 2016, Back2Buzz quickly expanded its vision. By the end of that year, the company began importing second-hand smartphones to refurbish and resell. Using software tools to control and certify these devices, Back2Buzz ensures quality and reliability. This evolution has positioned the company as a leader in the refurbished smartphone market within Belgium and France, with a strong commitment to sustainability.

Back2Buzz and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – promoting reuse and reducing waste.
  • SDG 13: Climate Action – lowering carbon footprint through extended device lifecycles.
  • SDG 15: Life on Land – reducing pollution and conserving natural resources.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – fostering sustainable industrialization.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – supporting ethical business practices in tech distribution.

Why Back2Buzz Matters Today

In a world where tech gadgets are replaced faster than ever, Back2Buzz offers a refreshing alternative. It’s not just about selling products—it’s about changing how we think about technology consumption. By focusing on refurbishment and eco-friendly accessories, Back2Buzz helps consumers make smarter, greener choices. And that’s something worth buzzing about.
