What BrainBugs Is All About
BrainBugs makes serious games for your social, cultural, educational projects. They develop serious games and digital tools aimed at social innovation. The focus? Setting up meaningful trajectories with partners who carry out social, cultural, or educational missions. Projects That Make a Difference
BrainBugs has a diverse portfolio of projects. For example, ROBOTS, PUPPIES & ALIENS is a serious game on AI ethics, supported by VAF Gamefonds. Then there’s HOLD IT!, a serious game developed with JES vzw, and ENFIN/SOIT, an artistic web-app created with Pieter Delfosse and VONK & Zonen. Educational tools like the one on perspectives on the colonial past were developed for the BELvue Museum. Other projects include serious games for Bataljong vzw and JES vzw, a SWOT digital survey tool by BrainBugs themselves, and interactive games for events like Expo Qarton in Qartier.
How BrainBugs Makes Partnerships Work
Partnerships are at the heart of BrainBugs’ work. They use service design to improve organizations and services, working closely with partners and their own toolkit. Everything is custom made — tools, games, and services tailored to the needs of organizations and people. The approach is human-centered, putting society and people front and center. Technology is a tool, not the end goal. And games? They’re not just for fun — they’re a core part of driving innovation.
Digital Wellbeing and Data Awareness
BrainBugs takes digital wellbeing seriously. They critically examine how technology impacts our lives and work, then create tools that help strike a better balance. Technology should serve life, not the other way around. On the data side, they collect relevant information in a privacy-friendly way and translate it into actionable insights for both their own use and political policies. Along the way, they raise data awareness among people and organizations — because understanding data is key.
