All three of the technologies in this solution are simplified versions of technologies that have been used for decades and use equipment that can be bought anywhere (so technical risk is low). 1) Unique TES CAES adiabatic. Our 500MW, 2.5-21GWh installations have zero or low emissions, 68-70% round-trip efficiency, and a leveled cost that is less than gas-fired peaking plants and batteries. 2) The CCGT CAES is both innovative and the only way to give gas-fired power plants a new economic life. It does this by reducing emissions, cutting energy costs, and adding storage revenues. 3) A mix of the two types of technology.

Each TES CAES plant reduces emissions by 37,080 tonnes CO2 p.a. (40MW) to 463,500 tonnes (500MW) – CCGT CAES about 1/3 of that and hybrid is between the two.
