What the Project Is
VALO’ stands as a beacon of the circular and inclusive economy in the Grand Est and Gironde regions. VALO’Propreté steps in to meet all cleanliness needs in Lorraine and the Grand Est, ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness of premises across a spectrum of environments. The management of waste reflects a year of dedicated work by its employees, turning challenges into opportunities to valorize waste. This project gathers a cooperative group of companies that share common objectives: solidarity, ecology, and a robust circular economy. As a driving force in the social and solidarity economy, VALO’ is recognized as the first insertion company to be labelled LUCIE—the reference CSR label in France. There’s a vibrant mix of services, ranging from waste collection and treatment to employment services, all serving the strong territorial impact and innovative spirit of the group.
Main Benefits
The VALO project brings a host of benefits to the territory, combining sustainability with social inclusion in an engaging way. Key facts include:
- Used cooking oils transformed into biodegradable lubricants for chainsaws and felling machines (brand Biolub).
- Economic activity waste such as plastics given new life through recycling and reuse processes.
- Efficient management of construction waste that includes frames, plaster, asbestos cement, and expanded polystyrene.
- Comprehensive cleaning services for offices, shops, warehouses, and even industrial sites, ensuring efficient disinfection and maintenance.
- Inclusive and solidarity interim employment solutions that bolster personnel needs with care and commitment.
Innovative Waste Management
At its core, VALO’Prest collects, recycles, and reuses all types of waste. The transformation of used cooking oils into Biolub, a biodegradable lubricant for chainsaws and felling machines, is a striking example of industrial ecology at work. There is also significant attention given to economic activity waste, plastics, and diverse forms of construction waste. Every effort is made to ensure that waste is not simply discarded, but rather valorized to benefit the environment and the community.
Comprehensive Cleaning and Disinfection
VALO’Propreté offers a spectrum of cleaning and disinfection services that cover a wide range of environments. Offices, shops, construction sites, warehouses, and even industrial machines are attended to with care. Window cleaning, green space maintenance, work at height, and even restoration and housing disinfection are managed with precision. Coupled with services like rodent, insect, and pigeon control, the cleaning operations ensure that every space is safe and welcoming. Sometimes, it’s as if a fresh breath of air sweeps through those environments… clean, sure, and inviting.
Social Impact through Employment Initiatives
Employment is at the heart of the VALO group’s mission. VALO’ TTS, a general temporary employment organization in the Grand Est region, places human concerns at its core, while VALO’ TTI focuses on inserting individuals distanced from employment into sustainable jobs—complete with training and specific support. Hésiode, a certified Qualiopi training organization, works to develop the skills of both current and future collaborators, spanning from those in insertion to permanently employed personnel and even managers. All these efforts contribute to creating lasting opportunities in communities.
Engineering Sustainable Development
Innovation and sustainable development take shape in two distinct areas: VALO’ LAB and Écota Conseil. VALO’ LAB, as an innovation laboratory, consistently pushes the limits in sustainable development projects. Meanwhile, Écota Conseil stands as a consulting firm that specializes in the circular economy. The two structures collaborate to offer engineering, consulting, and training services to companies and local authorities, driving sustainable territorial development and reinforcing corporate social responsibility. Every initiative not only meets immediate needs but also paves the way for future advancements in industrial practices.

Looking Ahead
Since its inception in 2015, the VALO group has grown into a dynamic network where solidarity and industrial ecology converge. From the impact visible in the Café Fauve Norroy—a group insertion restaurant that offers shared living spaces—to key events such as the Urbaflow project organized alongside Agora Luxembourg and the Polygone group, every step taken reinforces the mission of sustainable growth and territorial development. News stories, like the appearance of the Recyclerie de la Fensch on Moselle TV and the recent joining of Gecco to the VALO Group, echo the commitment to sharing innovative practices while uplifting communities. It is a project driven by both passion and practicality, setting an inspiring example of how a circular and inclusive approach can revitalize industries and communities alike… the journey continues with enthusiasm and determination.
