What the Project Is
L’Arbre à Café is both a producer and a roaster: discover the coffees from our Mariposa farm. This project in the food products industry brings emotional coffees that are the most respectful of nature to life – available in beans, ground, or biodegradable capsules. Since 2019, L’Arbre à Café has been producing on the lands of its Finca Mariposa farm (35 ha of coffee in biodynamics and agroforestry) located in Villa Rica, Junin, Peru. As the first producer and roaster of coffee in France, the project embodies the passion of merging production with artisanal roasting, ensuring every sip celebrates the unique character of specialty coffee.

The Journey from Peru to Ethiopia
The connection between Finca Mariposa and Golden Farm encapsulates the journey from high-altitude Peruvian plantations to the vibrant heart of Ethiopia. Golden Farm, nestled in the heights of Guji, represents a significant milestone. Six years after the first plantation in Peru, L’Arbre à Café has successfully rooted itself in the cradle of Arabica in Ethiopia. Emerging from a living, vibrant forest that spans 70 ha, the project continually evolves by tapping into the tradition of terroir with an innovative twist. This natural progression stands as a testament to the passion for sustainable, high-quality coffee.
Artisanal Excellence and Sourcing
Discover the exceptional coffees that have become rarities in the world of specialty coffee. Over years of travel and exploration, the sourcing roaster has passionately selected the best plots and lots from the most esteemed producers. Created in 2009, L’Arbre à Café has been acclaimed by the greatest chefs and artisans, establishing a reputation as the reference for highly sustainable specialty coffee. The approach is both meticulous and spirited… ensuring that each batch is a true expression of taste, quality, and ethical production.
