Hydrell Systems

Hydrell technology revolutionizes wastewater treatment, recovering energy, nutrients, and clean water efficiently. Utilizing microbial electrolysis, it oxidizes waste for CO2 and nitrogen, while producing methane. Benefits include a 90% footprint reduction, high methane output (50 m³/m³), and significant energy savings. Over 3 million m³ of wastewater is treated annually, saving 20,000+ tons of CO2 and…

Hydrell – Revolutionizing Wastewater Treatment & Energy Recovery

In 2016, Hydrell technology was made. It has made a technology for treating wastewater that makes it possible to get back energy, nutrients, and clean water at a much lower cost and with a smaller footprint than other technologies. The technology will also be more reliable than similar systems that are used now. When people use the Hydrell technology, they save more than 30% of their total operating costs, which gives them a reason to treat their wastewater. Electrolysis of wastewater works best when electroactive microorganisms on the anode oxidize organic and inorganic compounds (the positive electrode). CO2 and nitrogen gas are the products of the reaction (N2). At the same time, methanogenic microbes turn hydrogen gas (H2) into methane at the cathode.

Positive facts about Hydrell Systems
