briiv is a device for cleaning the air that doesn’t use plastic filters but instead uses sustainable, compostable, and recycled materials.
Usually, HEPA filters are what air purifiers use to do their job. The materials used to make HEPA filters are heavy and dense polymers. Plastics and fiberglass are very bad for the environment and last for a long time. The norm in the air purifier business is to sell a unit, use the filters until they wear out, and then buy more filters, on average 1–4 times per year. Every year, tens of millions of these harmful filters are thrown away, causing a lot of damage to the environment. This is the problem for which we have made a new and long-lasting solution. The briiv Air Filter is made entirely of natural materials like bioplastics and recyclable materials like cardboard and glass. It also has natural, biodegradable filters that don’t contain any plastic and break down in a few months when thrown away. Our three-stage filter process is made to work as well as a plastic model, but it doesn’t cost as much.
