Ground Fault Neutralizer

A system to protect power lines and stop wildfires, so that power can be delivered safely.

The Ground Fault Neutralizer (GFN) is a system for protecting power lines that can’t be beat. It reduces the chance of fires, injuries, and property damage caused by power lines. This makes it possible to keep the power on without interruptions, which is something that all smart grids will need. The GFN can fix single-phase-to-ground faults in power lines (75–99% of all faults in power networks) very quickly, before they start a fire. Traditional protection is too slow and can’t stop fires from starting. The GFN is a technology that has already been used to protect people in Victoria, Australia.

Positive facts about Ground Fault Neutralizer

100% of the quantity of CO2 potentially emitted in the atmosphere by wildfires
Same quantity of non-renewable resources used or used without recycling
Same quantity of water used (production, utilization)
From one accident to roughly 10 years, depending on application type
Protected assets and saved lives
