A way to keep dairy cows cool without hurting the environment is to use water beds.
The goal of the solution is to improve the cows’ health and milk production, as well as to get back the calories they burn when they lie down. By increasing milk production by 3%, the solution makes it possible to cut the dairy herd by 3% and still get the same amount of milk. So, the amount of ammonia and CO2 that livestock put into the air is cut by 3%. The solution also finds a way to get back the calories that the cow in the barn burns (kwh). AQUACLIM is a cooling water bed for dairy cows. It has a climate-controlled water pouch that can cool the cow and collect energy from the cow’s body heat.
