Nature’s Commitment to a Sustainable Future
Nature is a company that cares about tomorrow. We want to help our clients solve hard questions. But we also think about our own impact on the world. We want to make sure that impact is good for everyone: our people, our community, and our planet. We believe in using business as a force for good.
Key Principles
- Positive impact on people and the environment.
- Commitment to social responsibility.
- Rigorous B Corp certification process.
- Focus on community engagement and support.
- Continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
Understanding Our Purpose
At Nature, we are driven by a clear purpose. We want to inform tomorrow. This means we need to be aware of how our actions today affect the future. Our goal is to operate in a way that is socially responsible. We give equal importance to people, planet, and profit. This balance is crucial for a sustainable future.
Our B Corp Certification Journey
In August 2022, Nature received B Corp certification. This is a big deal! It means we are part of a global community of over 5,000 companies. These companies use business to create positive social and environmental change. The certification process is tough. It looks at how we perform in five areas: governance, workers, customers, community, and the environment. To get certified, we had to score at least 80 on the B Impact Assessment. We scored 92, which is great!
Making Changes for a Better Tomorrow
We are committed to more than just our work. We offer six months of paid parental leave, which is one of the best in the Australian services industry. We also allow our team to swap public holidays for days that are important to them. This flexibility helps our team feel valued and energized. In 2022, we launched a program called Nurture. It helps our team grow at their own pace. They can choose modules that fit their needs.
Community Engagement and Support
We believe in giving back to our community. Our team gets one day off each year to volunteer for a charitable cause. We partner with organizations like the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation. This helps young Indigenous children learn to read and do math. We also support women in need through various charities. Our team has raised money by participating in events like Run Melbourne for the past three years.
Our Eco-Friendly Office Practices
In 2021, we moved our Melbourne team to a bigger, eco-friendly office. We monitor our energy, water, and resource usage to make sure we are being responsible. We also source our office supplies in a way that is good for the planet. Our culture has become even stronger through our B Corp journey. We are more focused on our people than ever before. We are proud of what we have achieved, but we know there is still more to do.
