For example, the Lactosol solar thermal plant at a whey powder factory of the Lactalis Group in 2023 stands as a beacon of innovation in solar thermal energy combined with thermal storage. Similarly, the NARBOSOL solar thermal plant serves the urban heat network of the city of Narbonne since 2021, and a solar thermal plant was successfully developed for Franco-Swiss Malteries (Boortmalt Group) in 2021.
