About Miles: The Kid Behind the Mission
Miles is a Florida kid with a serious love for the ocean. His ocean adventures include finding dozens of shark teeth on Amelia Island, boogie boarding along the Florida East Coast, and snorkeling the Dry Tortugas. At home, marine conservation is a hot topic around the dinner table. He feels a strong obligation — and opportunity — to help protect the ocean.
How It All Started
After binge-watching Shark Week when he was just 6, Miles spent a ton of time thinking about the challenges facing our oceans and the creatures living there. He was especially inspired by Shark Tank episodes featuring Mark Cuban and Shark Allies. That inspiration turned into action when he started talking to his mom about donating his weekly allowance to save sharks. From there, the idea of creating t-shirts, hats, and stickers for kids and their grown-up allies was born — a way for his generation to show their ocean love and support great organizations.
