Innovative Nutrient Recycling
In an era when nutrient runoff pollution is devastating freshwaters in the U.S. and worldwide, GSR’s technology stands out. The project is engaging with key stakeholders across the entire supply chain. With value-added projects in progress that include FDA and USDA support, and several projects already completed with the help of regulatory agencies and partners, the initiative is now a prime contender in the global Nutrient Recycling Challenge. Among 34 selected teams, Phase II is in progress, confirming the project’s promise in radically addressing the nutrient recycling challenge.

GSR Solutions boasts multiple systems designed to cater to various operational needs: the GSR-BOLTTM Systems for industries that generate liquid waste effluents with excessive nutrients. The GSR-AD-BOLTTM system is engineered for anaerobic digester operations at animal farms, food & beverage industries, breweries, and municipal wastewater treatment facilities. Through a proprietary biological process, this system recovers nitrogen and phosphorus from digested effluent and reduces the BOD of anaerobically treated effluent. Additionally, the GSR-FLOTM system is targeted at non-digester animal farms and similar operations, while the GSR-BCTM system addresses unique waste nutrient management challenges in other industries – each, a crucial part of the comprehensive solution.
