What is Do Good Well Consulting?
Do Good Well Consulting is a boutique consulting business led by Dr. Kristin Joys, an educator and strategic impact consultant with over 25 years of experience. The firm focuses on helping individuals and ventures leverage their time, talent, and resources to create strategic impact. Since 2012, Kristin has specialized in empowering businesses, organizations, and individuals to develop strategic value through venture plans, impact business models, strategic giving plans, and leadership coaching. The consulting practice particularly enjoys working with high-impact entrepreneurs launching innovative ventures that blend for-profit and nonprofit models—often called “designed to give” hybrid sibling ventures. The name itself is inspired by Minor Myers, Jr.’s words: “Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.”

Dr. Kristin Joys: Educator and Innovator
Dr. Kristin Joys is not just a consultant; she’s a dedicated educator on the faculty at the University of Florida since 2005. She leads initiatives within the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center and the Department of Management at the Warrington College of Business. Kristin creates opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students to dive deep into high-impact entrepreneurship, impact-driven innovation, and leadership. Her work equips future business and community leaders with the skills, competencies, and tools necessary to drive resilient growth and lasting success. She’s devoted her career to empowering students to become innovative entrepreneurs and impactful leaders—both in business and beyond.
Unique Approach to Leadership and Impact
Kristin’s approach to leadership and impact is deeply personal and transformative. After a life-threatening battle with pyoderma gangrenosa complicated by MRSA in 2015-2016, she found new strength and purpose through yoga. Since 2018, she’s been practicing press handstands nearly every day—a practice that fills her with gratitude, joy, and courage. This journey inspired her to help others experience the same transformative power of movement and mindfulness. Kristin creates safe spaces for students to explore new ways of moving and thinking, encouraging them to realize they can do hard things. Her philosophy centers on courage, kindness, hope, gratitude, curiosity, wisdom, grace, joy, belonging, connection, compassion, and generosity.
Passions Beyond Consulting
When she’s not consulting or teaching, Kristin delights in living in a historic 1912 home and supporting local farmers. She enjoys floating, flying, and finding her edge on and off the yoga mat. Biking around her neighborhood while listening to podcasts, reading The Sun Magazine, learning to climb trees, and standup paddleboarding are some of her favorite pastimes. She also collects quotable cards, cherishing hundreds of inspiring quotes—one of her favorites being Maya Angelou’s: “Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.”
