What is the Project?
Energy for a Livable Home – a partner for the energy transition in the real estate industry. The future of the housing industry is CO₂-free, and this project is proof that it can be achieved with photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, battery storage, and charging infrastructure. The concept is simple yet powerful: transforming roofs and even heating cellars into reliable energy sources, ensuring that properties are operated sustainably and tenants benefit from fair, stable operating costs. This initiative – known as 100.Energy – provides CO₂-free, economical, and future-proof energy, all coming from above.
Main Benefits and Key Figures
The project delivers impressive numbers that speak for its effectiveness and visionary approach:
- 250 customers from the housing industry
- 10,000 tons of annual CO₂ savings
- 30,000 MWh of annual solar power generation
These key figures highlight the scale and impact of the solution – a modern and integrated approach that has already transformed energy use for more than 20,000 households directly from their own roofs.
Integrated Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Since 2017, integrated energy concepts have been the cornerstone of this project, reducing CO₂ emissions while providing accessible energy. The method is clear: merging sunlight and innovation to fuel buildings in a way that aligns with both environmental and economic goals. Affordable energy, as provided by the system, transforms multi-family houses into exemplars of sustainable practice. It’s not just about modernizing properties – it’s about creating a future where communities breathe easier, knowing that clean and stable energy is part of everyday life.
Photovoltaics, Heat Pumps, and Energy Storage: A Winning Combination
The project employs three distinct yet interlocking strategies. With 100.Energy, photovoltaic systems turn rooftops into powerhouses, ensuring energy autonomy and climate-friendly operations. Meanwhile, 100.Heat uses heat pumps to create a reliable, CO₂-free, and price-stable heat supply. And then there’s 100.Combi – the combination of photovoltaics with heat pumps – that takes energy efficiency to the next level. Clean energy captured from the roof powers heat pumps, charges battery storage, and delivers energy to tenants, ensuring that energy remains affordable and available at all times. It all works together seamlessly… a modern symphony of sustainable energy.
Future-Proof and CO₂-Neutral Real Estate Portfolios
In the journey toward a CO₂-neutral future, real estate portfolios are at the forefront. The energy transition starts where people live – in multi-family houses – and finds its answer on rooftops and in heating cellars. By integrating innovative energy concepts with state-of-the-art technology, properties can be transformed into attractive living spaces that are both modern and environmentally responsible. Utilizing photovoltaic systems and heat supply solutions not only decarbonizes buildings but does so in an affordable manner that keeps operating costs stable for tenants. This approach aligns perfectly with the vision of a future where every home contributes to the greater good by being energy-autonomous and sustainable.
Modernizing Buildings with Comprehensive Service
Beyond the technical innovations, the project provides a complete energy service ecosystem. Under the energy brand “meinhundert”, all service activities are managed to ensure optimal performance for tenants. This ultra-integrated approach means that every building, regardless of size, is equipped to harness both solar energy and modern heat supply systems. The result is a flexible energy system that not only transitions buildings to renewable energy sources but also keeps ancillary costs in check for every resident. It’s all about making renewable energy accessible and reliable – without complicated processes or high costs.

The Future of Energy Services in Real Estate
This project not only delivers solar as a service to multi-tenant and commercial buildings but also integrates digital metering services at scale. In a landscape where property owners are urgently seeking ways to reduce CO₂ emissions, transform portfolios, and secure long-term benefits for tenants, the initiative stands out. It is a practical example of how traditional real estate can be revitalized through renewable energy – offering energy from above, tapping into efficient heating systems, and blending innovative services that ensure affordability and environmental responsibility. The future of renewable energy in real estate is already here… a future in which every building contributes to a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world.
