Our Story and Origins
Kori Chilibeck and Matt Moreau met in 2005 while working together at Skiers Sportshop in Edmonton, Canada. Their journey began in a small town, but extensive travel opened their eyes to the dire circumstances many face across the globe. They witnessed firsthand how millions of families reside in conditions that leave children vulnerable to malnutrition and poverty. With a deep sense of responsibility, a spark was ignited to create something impactful. The Earth Group was born out of a desire to bring positive change… with a spirit that still resonates today. This story of unexpected friendship and life-altering experiences remains at the core of the project’s identity.
Commitment to Social Impact
Proceeds from the sale of all products, including Earth Water, Earth Coffee, and Earth Tea, channel directly into supporting the UN World Food Programme. The initiative’s benefits go far beyond providing meals; it supports education and community resilience amidst challenging circumstances. The project notably reaches out to areas hit by conflict, natural disasters, and the harsh realities of climate change. Every product sold contributes a small part to a much larger mission, making each purchase a meaningful step toward global betterment… a genuine act of care.
Sustainability and Certification
The Earth Group is proud to be a certified B-Corp—a testament to its commitment to environmental accountability, social responsibility, and corporate transparency. This certification, achieved through a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the non-profit B Lab, ensures that employee welfare, community support, and environmental impact are all consistently prioritized. It is not just a label; it is an ongoing journey toward excellence. Earth Water, Earth Coffee, and Earth Tea all operate under these rigorous standards, making every sip and every product a nod to a more sustainable future.
