Unicollecte – An intelligent robotic system able to sort different waste streams by separating them in coloured bags.
Developed in 2016 in Canada, Waste Robotics provides a solution to Responsible consumption & production – in line with sustainable development goals for the future.
- A single line system can handle 25 tonnes / hour of garbage and recover 10 tonnes / hour of source-separated-organics.
- The system is autonomous, easily adaptable and can recover bio-waste with a purity of more than 98%, 24h/24 and 7d/7′
- , “Waste Robotics’ WR-1 system reduces GHG emissions by 44 kg eCO2 / year per person”,
- WR-1 enables better selective collection and allows the recovery of an additionnal 48 kg of organics per year per person.
- OPEX – The use of bag collection remarkably reduces the costs of recovering organic matter, by € 30 per year per household.
- CAPEX – The system avoid to pay for additional garbage bins (±50€ per household) and the acquisition cost of a WR-1 system is 50% less that of a competition.
