- Each TES CAES plant reduces emissions by 37,080 tonnes CO2 p.a. (40MW) to 463,500 tonnes (500MW) – CCGT CAES about 1/3 of that and hybrid is between the two.
- Enables renewables to power grids by providing balancing, back-up, ancillary services and grid stability.
- Makes the energy transition more affordable.
- The payback time is 10-15 years.
