Powerfin – A technology to produce carbon-free electricity from Liquefied Natural Gas cold, while vaporising it in import terminals.

- 40 kWh of Power generated by ton of vaporized LNG.
- Carbon free electricity from wasted cold.
- Power: 160tLNG/h*40kWh/tLNG = 6,4MW.
- Around 52 kg of CO2 saved per ton of vaporized LNG.
- Avoid any natural gas consumption for LNG regasification.
- IRR is between 2-5% and the payback period is 10-13 years (highly related to the domestic electricity price).
- Possibility to sell carbon credits related to power produced and carbon footprint decrease.
- Reduce by up to 70% the energy consumption of the terminal, therefore decreasing by the same amount the variable part of the electricity bill.
