A floating system that is half submerged and gives access to offshore winds in deep maritime areas.
STAR is a floating offshore wind system that is half submerged. Floating offshore wind turbines use the power of the strong and steady winds that blow in deep water areas away from the coast. Unlike fixed-foundation wind turbines, which are supported by a base that is directly set on the seabed using a gravity foundation, this solution is based on a floating structure made of concrete, steel, or a hybrid of steel and concrete that is anchored to the seabed by a system that controls its movement. Unlike fixed-foundation wind turbines, this new technology gets around the problems of installing in deep water. It can produce clean energy farther from the coast with less of an impact on the view. The Solution is made to be competitive, to be made in large numbers, and to be easy to use. It can be changed to fit the operating site and industrial ecosystems in the area.
