Sludge Drying Beds is a way to remove water from sewage sludge as part of the Urban Sewage Sludge Directive
Premier Base has developed a method for dewatering municipal wastewater sludge in small WWTPs that does not require any energy or chemicals. The product accepts secondary sludge in the 0.8% to 1% DS range and dewaters to a range of 7% to 10% (ranges of 30%/40% are also possible). The Solution A concrete tank has unit measurements of 1m depth, 3m width, and 8m length. Sludge Drying Beds can be used to dewater sludge that has been digested using either anaerobic or aerobic procedures.
