Developed in Denmark in 2015, Too Good To Go provides a solution to Responsible consumption & production – in line with sustainable development goals of the UN.
For a variety of reasons, it’s nearly hard for food businesses to predict how much surplus they’ll have at the end of the day, and what those things will be. Meanwhile, the issue of food waste is a significant barrier to resolving the climate catastrophe.
Because of this, Too Good To Go developed a solution to this issue, to decrease those waste surplus and increase producers revenues.
Too Good To Go’s unique and scalable smartphone app serves as a marketplace for this surplus food, connecting food producers with consumers prepared to purchase the food ahead of time and pick it up at a predetermined time. This can range from bakeries who must bake fresh every day to shops that have unsold groceries and restaurants that did not sell all of the food prepared for that day.
