The solution is the first Infrastructure Fund that was made with Impact Investing in mind. It was made with the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB), and it uses the SuRe® – The Standard for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure, which is an Environmental and Social Management System. SuRe® is a global, voluntary standard for building and improving infrastructure that takes into account both sustainability and resilience. With this evaluation, the Infrastructure Impact Fund makes sure that the infrastructure projects it supports meet the requirements of Good International Industry Practice (GIIP) in terms of being sustainable and resilient. The SuRe® Standard is based on science and evidence, was made through a rigorous process involving stakeholders, and is used for the whole project portfolio.
