Developed in Sweden in 2018, Doconomy provides a solution to Responsible consumption & production, Quality Education – in line with sustainable development goals for the future.
Doconomy began in 2018 to invest in new measures to help tackle climate change.
The founders believe that becoming conscious of the impact of our consumption can build a foundation for a new way of thinking. What if we could rewrite the rules of finance by encouraging responsibility and accountability and encouraging direct action?
Docomy developed 3 main financial tools to educate and drive positive change.
Lifestyle Impact
The Lifestyle Impact Calculator assists users in calculating their carbon footprint based on their lifestyle choices.
The Lifestyle Calculator is a simple tool for determining your climate footprint – an assessment of your actions that results in an impact profile. It is much easier to change behavior and make positive changes when we realize the impact of our decisions.
It is an essential component of the Doconomy offering and is made available to any partner who wishes to engage the masses in a more sustainable way of life.
Doconomy created the Lifestyle Calculator in collaboration with the UNFCCC to fulfill a need. While there is plenty of data to quantify the impact of various activities, it has been difficult for everyday consumers to get that data in one place until now.
Transaction Impact
Doconomy provides clients the opportunity to calculate the CO2e and H2O impact of financial activities.
The Aland Index is the world’s premier climate impact index, with 20 nations included. It is a cloud-based impact as a service for calculating CO2e and H2O for all digital financial transactions. Doconomy has been developing applied impact solutions to connect and educate consumers about their environmental impact since 2018.
Financial service firms can employ Aland Index to provide personalised, impact data-driven services to their consumers, ushering in a new era of shared accountability between the user and the supplier.
The Aland Index is reliable, up to date, and constantly updated with new impact sources and financial data sets.
Product Impact
Brands may assist speed impact disclosure and carbon labeling by using Doconomy’s 2030 Calculator.
Today, both companies and consumers recognize the significance of connecting the dots between consumption and its environmental impact. Labels that openly identify a product’s individual carbon footprint have the potential to forever change the way we consume, just like food labeling did for the food sector.
Consumers now have limited information about how their consumption affects the environment. Anyone would be able to choose between low and high impact products and understand how price and quality connect to manufacturing and transportation techniques with carbon labeling.
