A gas that can be used to clean and decontaminate industrial parts.
The goal of this solution is to give the medical device, mechanical, and textile industries cleaning tools that are effective, safe, and good for the environment. This cleaning equipment uses carbon dioxide CO2 instead of traditional cleaning solvents like chlorinated solvents, alcohols, or water + detergents. CO2 is a byproduct of other industries and is collected as a byproduct. When this gas is put under pressure (more than 73 bar) and heated (more than 31°C), it becomes supercritical (SC) and can dissolve lubricants well. This solvent can clean like a liquid, but because it has very low viscosity and surface tension, it can also get into very small holes and cavities like a gas. A continuous internal separation system in DFD equipment lets CO2 be used more than once when it is being cleaned. At the end of the cycle, about 80% of the CO2 is reused. It is also well known that supercritical CO2 can pre-sterilize things.
Positive facts about Supercritical CO2 Cleaning System
0 mg of residues of CO2 on the parts after cleaning as it is a gas
100% of the extracted oil can be reused in the production process – CO2 does not degrade the oil
100% saving on water consumption and no more polluted water and detergent expelled
50% saving on electricity consumption, thanks to dry process at low temperature and no need of drying after cleaning
OPEX divided by 2
Productivity raised by 10 times, compared with current cleaning technologies
