Geopolymer concrete technology without clinker to reduce carbon emissions in the building industry.
CEMEX Vertua® is a line of low-carbon concrete products that includes Vertua Ultra Zero, Vertua Plus, and Vertua Classic. The Vertua product line was made to help customers reduce their embodied carbon while still meeting their building needs. Vertua was founded in 2020, and its products have already been used in large infrastructure projects in Europe. They are also very popular in Mexico, the United States, and South America. This solution focuses on Vertua Ultra Zero, which is a net-zero CO2 concrete made with a new idea from CEMEX’s Research and Development Center. Vertua Ultra Zero is a geopolymer concrete without clinker that uses a lot less CO2 than regular concrete made with CEM I cement type. This material can save up to 70% of the carbon that was used to make it. Carbon offsetting efforts cancel out the last 30% of the footprint.
