A new type of system that uses ultraviolet light to kill germs.
The Solution makes it possible to disinfect potable water in a safe and clean way on demand without using chemicals or parts that contain mercury. UV disinfection works by using a germicidal wavelength emission (UV-C) to target microorganism DNA. This breaks up the DNA, so the microorganism can’t make copies of itself and can’t cause illness or disease. UV can be used for this purpose, which is well known and accepted. This solution is different from others because it uses compact UV-C LED technology instead of mercury vapor lamps to emit the germicidal wavelengths. Because the Solution is small and easy to set up, it can be easily added to common drinking water dispensers close to where the water is used.
