DISIRE provides miniaturized Process Analyzing Technique (PAT) technologies that can be put into flows of raw materials to meet the need for more energy- and resource-efficient processes in many industrial sectors, such as the non-ferrous, ferrous, chemical, and steel sectors. The Intelligent Raw Materials technology makes it possible to better characterize the material, optimize the processing plants, increase the process intensity and energy efficiency in the chemical, steel, and mineral processing industries, and improve the combustion processes in these industries. DISIRE made and tested a new IPC framework that combines existing sensor readings with inline sensors that send data in real time to a cloud, allowing control and reconfiguration to be done online through PAT. DISIRE is very flexible and brings out technologies that can reduce the amount of energy used, improve the quality of products, and have less of an effect on the environment.
