Mixotrophic single-cell algae are used to make biomethane.
The process is based on a closed loop of water and biomass in an area of 1.5 hectares. Only the Algamoil strain can be used for this process. This is our patented mixotrophic single-cell alga that is made up of 50% lipids. When algae are grown, they go through four steps: 1-Photosynthesis to grow the biomass while storing CO2; 2-Separation of the biomass and the water, recycling 100% of the water; 3-Heterotrophic growth of the biomass with the decomposition of organic waste or agriculture by-products to increase the lipids percentage; 4-Separation of the lipids from the solid part.
