The current agri-food industry is a major source of pollution and is using up resources at a rate that has never been seen before. In this industry, there are a lot of big problems to solve, like food waste, obesity, carbon emissions, and more. The Funger efficient food solution makes veggie food from mushroom (by-)products. The Funger project is a part of the circular economy for food. It uses the waste from mushroom production as an ingredient and turns it into something useful. This gives people not only the chance to eat less meat, but also the chance to get ultra-processed plant-based side effects.
